1. Use Your Strengths and HOPE during stressful times
Recently, after an incredible once in a lifetime vacation to Thailand and India, life took an unexpected turn. I found myself hospitalized in a foreign country for a week, away from the comfort of home and familiar routines. It was a tough time, but my strength of positivity, which I always lean on, became my anchor. I held onto the belief that brighter days were ahead, and that optimism was a light in the darkness.
My husband was a constant source of support, reminding me that I wasn’t facing this challenge alone. Together, we navigated the uncertainty, and his unwavering presence strengthened my resolve.
Meditation, Enya’s calming melodies, and holding onto HOPE were my lifelines during those
quiet hours of recovery. I had to do something that doesn’t come easily to me: go underground, go quiet, and simply be. It wasn’t my natural state, but I recognized that sometimes healing requires stillness, surrender, and trust. There have been other moments in my life when the only way forward was to pause and allow space for healing.
In those moments, I often ask myself: What strength can I call upon now? For me, it’s been positivity, but for others, it might be adaptability, belief, or even empathy. How do you handle these situations? What strengths can help guide you through life’s more challenging moments?
